The RASPO Panorama Orchestra is working with winning arranger Bubbles to master a 10 minute calypso arrangement for the National Panorama Steelband Competition which kicks off Notting Hill Carnival. Are you a drummer or a percussionist? Or perhaps you already play steel pan music and want to join RASPO at the UK's prestigious championship.

Masquerade workshops will take place throughout July and August in South Reading. Make your own head dress at free workshops, bring your family and friends to share in Reading's carnival spirit. Wear your head dress and dance with RASPO's float at London's Notting Hill Carnival Children's day procession.

We welcome volunteers, helpers, sponsors and supporters to show off Reading at it's best at Europe's biggest street carnival. Contact us for more information.

What is Panorama:
The UK Panorama Steelband Championship is a national competition which kicks off Notting Hill Carnival on the Saturday of August Bank Holiday. The event features up to ten steel bands from across the UK. Each band of 30 to 75 players rehearse with the top pan arrangers to learn a ten-minute arrangement of a popular calypso performed to a panel of judges for the title of National Champions of Steel.
