Welcome to the final Reggae Friday Open Mic event of 2022 featuring innovative and influential reggae artist Prince Malachi, talented reggae singer songwriter Jnr Watson, and winner of Britain’s Got Reggae competition Rafeelya.

The event on Friday 30 December 2022 7-11.30pm is CultureMix Arts’ end of year celebration with top quality live music from the best British reggae musicians alongside guest artists and talented singers from the Reading Reggae Collective.
Notable musicians include drummer Carl ‘Carlalou’ Benjamin (The Wailers, Julian Marley, Lee Perry, Dawn Penn), keyboard player Cyrus ‘Monkites’ Richard (Black Uhuru, Mighty Diamonds, Abyssinians), Reggae Collective stalwart guitarist Derick Andrews (Boney M, Aqua Livi), all led by Grammy award winning producer, bass guitar supremo and musical director Don Chandler.
With selecta DJ Lou Mulato spinning tunes in between acts, the bar opens from 7pm with a sizzling selection of Caribbean beers, spirits and soft drinks.
We welcome musicians, singers, rappers and spoken word artists to sign up and take part in the Open Mic from 9pm to 10pm. Booking in advance is recommended.
