CultureMix Arts is recruiting a talented and inspiring Music Tutor who is committed to helping our children fulfil their music potential.

Our education programme helps schools to set up steel percussion ensembles and teach steel pan music to children and young people.

If you play a musical instrument and are passionate about working with children and young people then this could be the job for you! CultureMix Arts will provide training and support.

Start date: ASAP
Salary: £15-£25 per hour dependent on experience
Type: Part time (5-15 hours per week over 2-3 days)
Location: Reading and surrounding schools in Berkshire

Key requirements:
– Ability to play a musical instrument
– Some experience teaching music to children and young people on any instrument
– Able to manage large class groups effectively
– Excellent communication and time management skills
– Organised and presentable

The successful applicant will need to have an enhanced DBS and join the update service. We can assist with this if required.
