On Friday 4 November 2022 Arts Council England announced full details of the 2023-2026 funding for cultural organisations.

We are delighted to announce our successful application to Arts Council England to continue as a National Portfolio Organisation (ACE NPO). This opportunity offers us an even more positive future as a specialist music organisation, supported by a funder who understands and champions our vision for accessible Caribbean culture and creativity in the heart of Reading.

CultureMix Arts first joined the National Portfolio in 2018 after a two year Elevate funding programme designed to build resilience and establish a sustainable business model that could thrive within the rigours of public funding scrutiny and reporting.

With this investment we are able to realise our ambitions and increase responsibility at our new venue and home for Reading All Steel Percussion Orchestra (RASPO), Reading Reggae Collective, and the Creative Business Hub with professional development, workshops and events.

Reading now has four ACE NPO’s with a successful second round for Readipop, The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) and CultureMix Arts, joined by well deserved arts charity Jelly.
