Roots, rock reggae band IYA Rebels will perform live at the launch of their new album ‘Nadah’.
The 2018 IYA Rebels tour kicks off with an album launch at the Purple Turtle Bar in Reading for the Peace and Love Concert. The new album ‘Nadah’ offers an intensely satisfying selection of original polemic consciousness, with rich harmonies and infectious roots reggae rhythms.
IYA Rebels is made up of the best musical talent from the UK led by rising star singer songwriter and founder Junior Watson (Mighty Dub Generators, Stelphonic). Also in this unmissable line up is keyboard player Dani Richardson (Gabrielle, Soloman, X Factor finalist Nate Simpson), bass player Derrick Taylor (Roachford, Gabrielle, All Saints, Marcia Griffiths, Bob Andy), Kwame Richardson on drums, percussionist Simon Robinson, and guitarist Tony Herbert (Kassav’, Mighty Sparrow).
The band has the slick solid sound of a tightly knit outfit creating a perfect blend with the conscious lyrics of Junior’s sweet vocals.
Check out IYA Rebels at The Purple Turtle Bar Reading on Saturday 7 April 2018 from 8.30pm, and supporting Don Letts at the Readipop Festival on Sunday 15 July.
